The Garden in a Twilight
For you and me
For all to see, that only in dreams,
Runs free the very creation I gleam,
In to an abyss they then flee,
To escape the reality's glee.
Often I have wondered of the perfect end to stories,
Whether mine ends alone or at the florist,
Sunflowers in hand to show the brighter side of me,
To the love that was always meant to be,
But fear often strikes in the cold hearted sea,
For the past has memory that never sets free.
Why do I dance with shadows in vision?
Or why does anybody else too, with reason?
Maybe there lies a comfort deep in the abyss of mind,
That no rejection or betrayal can reach or find.
Cause to lose something you never had never pains,
But to get the glimpse that vanishes like tears in the rain,
That hurts and unveils your very true emotions,
And cuts deep in to your beliefs and notions.
But cannot a person dream and wonder?
Of a kiss amidst the rain and the thunder,
And of a dance with all in sight,
At the garden in a whimsical twilight.
