The Forest Fire in her Dendrites

The Tale of A Thousand Bachelors

By Scott WeatherbyPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

"How do I live the death of a bachelor?" - Panic! at the Disco, Death of a Batchelor

I

My cigars started

the forest fires in

your dendrites. Your

blood alcohol level

kept them alive. Some

get blanketed by morning,

others don’t.

II

I've lived the life

of a thousand bachelors. Men cower

in thy name. Women call me

The Reverse Sisyphus;

send their girlfriends

on pilgrimages to my gyprock

Palace. Having boulders come

to me is far from my curse.

III

You left your number

in the carriage of my typewriter. Such a

waste of ink. Oh Damn, I just ran

out of tissues.

Wipe your tears on your sleeve, or

on my pillowcases. The maid changes

them every morning.
