cowboy boots

and angel's wings

she's giving roots

to my old dreams

one shot to shoot

as heaven sings

i'm just a fool

who still believes

cowboy boots

and western hats

i give to her

though she don't ask

she's the last drop of whiskey

in my old flask

i'm just a fool who still believes

cowboy boots

and tumbleweeds

she has no clue

what she means to me

i'd walk through hell

to keep her warm

i'd be her shelter

in the storm

cowboy boots

and one last chance

to prove to her

that i'm her man

no wind or rain

dampens these seeds

i'm just a fool

who still believes
