When rain falls in circular rhythms
Drenching cadence with its sweet smell, dancing to the sounds of Prince
Spinning and twisting clockwise
Until rain reflects off my satin-lined jacket, drawing outlines on my water-stained skin,
Holding me close,
Making sure I'm aware of its past, present, and future.
With every rotation,
Outlines intensify, splitting me in two
Polarizing my face until I’m neither here nor there,
Only unpacking enjoyment
When rain falls around us in circular rhythms,
Encapsulating our footsteps in radiating beauty,
Highlighting our outlines
Creating visual clarity benefiting all senses
I see you for what you are
A collection of rhythms that create my dance.
