Look in your Heart

The Final Letter (Look in Your Heart)

I don't have any intention of hurting you, so I'm sorry if I do,

I'm the kind of flower that matures with thorns, so I'm sorry if I bloomed.

I can see why you're scared but I can't see why you should be,

I planted roses in your garden to match your beauty,

I gave you light when your path was dark,

I showed you that we're all criminals; some of us just haven't been caught,

I went to the store in your mind, but it wasn't love that I brought,

Can I return it still, even if I didn't keep the receipt?

It's your heart not your sorrow that I want to keep.

Maybe I'm wrong for the things I did, but I never lied to you,

So accept me when I say this I love you,

I've done too much to convince you,

But if you're still questioning the love I give, then I'm sorry I ever gave it,

I wouldn't want to waste an opportunity to be loved by someone like you but I've done my part

If you ever want to find me,

Look in your heart.
