I'm from an area of Australia that has extremely fertile red earth so I know this exact feeling. My mother has photos of her and her sister with red feet from running barefoot in the area. It really does make the spirit soar.

Fertile red, dirt of earth. Hey that could be a haiku.

Great poem!!!!. (I vaguely recall chasing some concept of the clay from which God made humans in Genesis being red dirt, but I think of Australia being the land of red dirt and Africa being the origin of humankind.)

  • Your Haiku makes me wanna soar to Mars! I loved it!

  • Another great Haiku!

Reminds me of Kauai, Hawaii or Prince Edward Island, Canada both have red dirt and it is spectacular. Love the image and your beautiful words 🌺
