The Eternal Dance
Twirl me like wind
Spins autumnal leaves
Pull me in closer
To dance among trees
We flow like the river
We sway face to face
Water rolls over rock
To a rhythmic pace
A waltz by the willow
A tango past the pine
Like roots in the soil
Our fingers entwine
In passionate kiss
At the base of the oak
We are fire that smolders
In painted brush stroke
Gentle falling like rain
You let my hair down
To lie in the meadow
Wild flowers around
Caress my cheek softly
Down your back my hands run
The warmth of your skin
Under setting of sun
Love me this night
As we gaze at the sky
Show me the stars
That glitter in your eye
Then at breath of first dawn
Darling whisper my name
For all my life long
Your love will sustain
