It is mine to measure
Mine to learn from
It is even mine to judge.
Yet you set and gage.
Measuring something you
Do not even understand.
It is mine to benefit from
To change for better or worse
Yet you set deciding.
What you want me to learn
Even the way you want me to learn it.
However, it is still mine
It is mine to measure
Mine to learn from
It is still mine to judge.
I set seeing the pain and sorrow,
Most thinking I do not see.
That I do not understand
Yet it is mine to see.
And to understand
It is mine to bring change.
To this life of mine
