The Door

The Mystery of What Remains

By Samara Pollyana Published 3 months ago 1 min read

I found the door,

the door to the tunnel,

I thought I'd never find the key to,

buried beneath the darkest,

deepest layers of my soul,

haunted by ghosts,

whose faces I once knew.

Cursed to love unconditionally,

with a love never returned,

and yet I still picture us,

in the false paradise we inhabit,

where angels and demons descend,

for the strange affair of love,

a mystery once unforeseen,

yet somehow destined.

And still,

I wonder if it can be made better.
