The Day The Doors Closed

And the ending seemed to be shutting me out oh no

The Day The Doors Closed

The lights once shone brightly,
the laughter filled the air,
a place built from memories
with stories everywhere.

The workers had dreams there,
the years had passed by,
with moments of triumph
and tears they couldn’t hide.

But time turns its pages,
and seasons must change,
sometimes familiar footsteps
must walk a new range.

The final bell sounded,
the last curtain fell,
goodbyes were exchanged
where old echoes still dwell.

A building may close down,
but memories remain,
the friendships and kindness
outlive any name.

For every ending carries
a beginning unseen,
a door that has closed
may reveal a new dream.

So here’s to the people,
the hearts and the hands,
who gave their devotion,
who helped it all stand.

The walls may grow silent,
the signs disappear,
but the stories created
will always stay near.

If my words have touched your heart, and you’ve enjoyed my poetry, a small goodwill gesture would be deeply appreciated. Your kindness helps me continue doing what I love. Thank you for reading. 🌹
