The Day My Coffee Betrayed Me

When mornings go hilariously wrong

By Jhon smithPublished 10 months ago • 1 min read

I woke up with the sun, bright and cheery,

Dreaming of coffee, my liquid fairy.

I poured the beans, ground them with care,

Only to sneeze… and fling grounds in the air.

The smell was rich, the cup was tall,

I sipped with hope, and then… I stalled.

Bitter! Bitter! A flavor of doom!

My coffee had plotted to ruin my room.

I tried to smile, I tried to cope,

Spilled half on my shirt, half on my hope.

The cat gave me a look of pure disdain,

Like, “You woke up just to bring this pain?”

I grabbed another cup, third time’s the charm,

But tripped on a sock and fell on my arm.

At this point, the universe sent me a memo:

“Stay in bed, buddy, stay in your pillow!”

Yet here I sit, typing this rhyme,

Laughing at chaos, one sip at a time.

So if your morning’s a little betrayed,

Know that your coffee’s just a comedian in shade.
