The Day He Came In
So Handsome And Sweet
He came into the store one day
Tall, dark, and handsome
Up to the counter, he swayed
I started to blush
I felt in a rush, as I finished
The customer before him finally leaves
I start talking to him,
His lovely voice, I could not believe
His eyes were so intense, looking right at me
His smile was so inviting
I wonder what this will be
He seemed like such a nice guy
A hard-working man
A great father
A guy with a life plan
A guy a woman like me could appreciate and understand
The day he walked in

This is for RM Stockton's Write Club prompt for the month of April: AI Please allow me to vent. For "college," I went to a scam school that is now closed. We were promised internships that were never spoken of again after admissions, and we were promised help finding jobs. The first time I went to the career counselor's office, she was completely frazzled. She had no idea what to do with us, the film majors. The second time I visited her office, I let her know that I'd found myself a job, and she was visibly relieved.
