Ingin Baidbi, “the daughter of Badb” by Justine G. Cappelli

Introduction

This is my twenty-fifth piece inspired by Justine G. Cappelli's beautiful and inspirational artwork.

I love that Justine always gives the full story behind the painting, which gives me more than just the painting to work from.

Her Name Is Ingin Baidbi,

The Daughter Of Badb

⚔️🩸💚🩸⚔️

At Béal Átha Na Foraire

She Weeps For Cú Chulainn’s Fall

Mourning His Death Foretold

⚔️🩸💚🩸⚔️

She Washed The Blood From His Armour

Still He Went To Battle

Knowing He Would Never Return

⚔️🩸💚🩸⚔️

She Weeps With Ravens And Wolf

Under The Shining Moon

On Ground Stained With Cú Chulainn’s Blood

Her Tears Will Always Fall
