The Dark Side of Perfection

The Pain Behind the Smile

Once was a girl who had it all,

A smile so bright, a laugh so tall.

Her eyes sparkled like diamonds in the sun,

With beauty so rare, she was second to none.

She had wealth, she had fame, a life many dreamed of and aimed,

Her future was bright, and with success, she was claimed.

But beneath that exterior, so strong and so bold,

Lurked a pain that she couldn't control.

Her heart ached, her soul was in strife,

The girl with it all was losing the fight.

No one noticed, they saw only her smile,

The fake laughter that echoed for a while.

She hid behind her mask of perfection,

Hoping no one would see her reflection.

She felt so alone, so lost in the crowd,

With each passing day, she felt more and more down.

Her spark was fading, replaced by a frown,

The once-happy girl was now just a clown.

She cried herself to sleep every night,

Wishing for a love that felt just right.

But the emptiness inside grew and grew,

And the pain she felt, no one else knew.

Her friends and family were all blind,

To the tears she cried, the pain in her mind.

They thought she was happy, that everything was fine,

But the truth was, she was slowly losing her shine.

She tried to reach out, to ask for a hand,

But the words got stuck, she couldn't make a stand.

So she withdrew, kept to herself,

And the pain in her heart, she tried to quell.

But it was too late, the damage was done,

And the girl with it all, was no longer fun.

She couldn't take it anymore, she couldn't cope,

And so one night, she hung herself with a rope.

Her friends and family were all in shock,

As they found her body, hanging like a rock.

They didn't understand, they didn't know,

The pain she felt, the hurt that flowed.

They mourned her loss, they shed their tears,

For the girl who had it all had disappeared.

They wished they could turn back the time,

And save the girl who was once so fine.

But it was too late, her soul had flown,

And the girl with it all was no longer known.

Her memory lives on, in the hearts of those who care,

For the girl who had it all, but lost it all to despair.

So let this be a lesson, to those who remain,

To reach out to those who may be in pain.

To listen and love, to lend a hand,

For one day, you may save a life from this tragic end.
