The Dark

Darkness creeps across the land,

A shadow cast by evil's hand.

Its cold grip chills to the bone,

As we feel its presence, all alone.

Badness is a toxic force,

That twists and warps all that's good, of course.

Its wicked tendrils spread and grow,

And it corrupts all that we know.

It's a poison that infects the mind,

Leaving only bitterness behind.

It's the hatred in a hater's heart,

And the cruelty of those who tear apart.

Badness is a stormy sea,

That drags us down and sets us free.

Its waves are wild and unforgiving,

And its winds are harsh and unrelenting.

It's a beast that lurks within us all,

Ready to strike and make us fall.

It's the darkness that we must resist,

And the light that we must persist.

For in badness, there is only pain,

A path that leads to nought but shame.

So let us shun its twisted ways,

And let our goodness shine always.

For in goodness, there is a way,

To banish badness, come what may.

let us stand strong,

Against the badness that would do us wrong.

Let us choose the path of light,

And keep our goodness burning bright.

In the end, it is our choice,

To listen to the bad's voice,

Or follow goodness' gentle call,

And rise above the darkness' thrall.

So let us choose the path of good,

And let it be our constant mood.

May love and kindness light our way,

And bring us peace, day by day.

For in goodness, there is a power,

To heal and strengthen, hour by hour.

So let us embrace its warm embrace,

And let it guide us to a better place.
