In honour of the quadru-haiku challenge, I have written one for each season, represented by one of the four elements. This poem celebrates the joy of life and the gift of nature. I hope you like it.
The Gift of Rain
You colour the sky
Budding blooms, wet hair, clean air
Revitalise us
Spring is the season of life. When I think of spring, I think of the April showers and the blossoming of wildflowers.
Fire in the sky
A joy to the eye
That carries the warmth of smiles
We bathe in your light
Summer is the season of joy when anything is possible. I think of laughter and fun in the sun.
Invisible Wind
Catch the falling leaf
Mesmerise me with magic
Carry me through life
Autumn is the season of colour and changing winds. A time for change, a time for reflection. Falling leaves and walks in the park.
Breaking Ground
Cracks in your surface
Naked trees and muddy feet
You keep us grounded
Winter is the season of the elements. Wind, rain, snow, ice, and the fires that keep us warm. The earth reminds us that we are human and huddles us together for love and warmth.
