In markets vast where fortunes play,

Economics charts the ebb and sway.

With hidden hands and motives sly,

It weaves its web through low and high.

Demand arises, keen and bright,

From dreams and needs both day and night.

With every wish, a price takes flight,

A signal clear, in commerce’s light.

Supply responds with measured pace,

To meet the needs of human race.

Resources blend with skilled embrace,

To shape the goods for market’s grace.

Equilibrium, a fleeting ghost,

Where balance stands, a silent boast.

Yet shifts in winds, in crisis most,

Can tip the scales from coast to coast.

Inflation creeps, a silent thief,

Eroding wealth with subtle grief.

While unemployment’s heavy sheath,

Hangs over hope, a waiting wreath.

In cycles vast, economies turn,

Boom and bust, we live and learn.

Through policies and taxes stern,

Governments strive, the tides to churn.

Monetary strings they deftly pull,

To cool the heat, or spark the dull.

Fiscal tools, both sharp and full,

Can build or break, can push or lull.

Global trades, a complex weave,

Where nations gain and sometimes grieve.

Comparative advantage, they believe,

Brings wealth anew, as charts perceive.

Yet inequality persists,

In shadows dark, it still exists.

Where wealth amasses, greed insists,

And poverty's grim specter twists.

Sustainability now calls,

A voice that echoes in the halls.

To balance growth with nature’s walls,

To heed the planet as it falls.

Behavioral whispers softly say,

That humans don’t in models stay.

With biases that lead astray,

In choices made, both night and day.

So here’s to Economics’ song,

A field where countless minds belong.

In theory’s realm, where right and wrong,

Are weighed and judged, both weak and strong.

May wisdom guide the paths we tread,

Through market’s green and daunting red.

In search of balance, fed and led,

By reason’s light, and knowledge spread.

For in this dance of give and take,

Of profits earned, of risks we stake,

We find the future that we make,

In choices bold, for humanity’s sake.
