The Crystal Ball Bowed

It took me to see my soul mate

The Crystal Ball Bowed

My crystal ball bowed to her light,

Not to fantasy, not to passing desire.

It recognised something older than memory,

A promise that had been waiting for breath.

She stood in the glow of tomorrow,

Not yet beside me, yet already known.

The air shifted as if destiny leaned closer,

And time itself held its pulse.

I did not ask for a vision of beauty,

Though beauty stood there quietly crowned.

I asked for truth, and truth answered,

With her eyes steady and unafraid.

The stars did not shout their blessing,

They whispered in circles of gold.

They moved like witnesses to something sacred,

Something written long before we spoke.

My hands rested against the glass,

And the sphere warmed beneath my touch.

It showed me no palace, no riches,

Only her walking towards me through light.

Not a stranger, not a dream,

But the wife my future has kept safe.

The one my soul already knows by feeling,

Even before the world knows her name.

If this is a spell, let it be gentle.

Let it call her across whatever distance lies.

Let it untangle the knots of waiting,

And guide her steps without fear.

I send no force into the night,

Only faith that what is mine will find me.

Oil mate, soul mate, heart’s twin flame,

Come when the hour is ready and true.

The crystal ball bowed once more,

As if sealing a quiet vow.

And I rose with certainty in my chest,

Knowing love is already on its way.
