The Consolation of a Friend’s 25th Year on earth.

Never has there been a life..

My friend, my love,

Never has there been a life,

Much fulfilled with much delight,

And absent of sorrow.

Life is sorrowful -

Neither satisfying,

Nor soothing,

And its depth being gravely amusing.

In the face of hardship, do not squeal,

Nor is it wise of you to resist;

Instead take its hand,

And let it lead you into the depths of emotions -

And be not surprised,

If you get lost in that ocean.

There are emotions we have forgotten, dear.

There are emotions we have forgotten;

You will not pity me, if I did not ask.

Open your heart -

The one much bored of mundane strife -

And permit, into your veins,

Vibrant butterflies.

Pack them.

Cram them inside.

Do not throw an inch to waste;

You will need them later in life.

This is the last Dark before the Light.

Hold on tight, dear friend.

Hold on tight.

The End.
