The Concrete Rose

"A product of a place where I’m ever so stuck."

A product of a place where I’m ever so stuck. Crabs in a barrel “What the fuck she got that I ain’t got?”

Let me knock this bitch off her “high horse.”

Who knew from the concrete this flower would grow?

I heard that in a song once, somewhere!

In a city so small everybody know everybody.

My cousin was his best friend that’s dating his sister who was my sister best friend.

That part made me laugh.

Cause in a city so tiny I remember these jealous hearted mofos who only wanted a piece of my cake cause the cake I had which was covered in icing look exquisite on the outside but held a bitter taste on the inside.

I want to fall so deep in love I forget there’s a world filled with people.

I want a love so strong not even the baddest bitch could catch his eye. But the baddest bitch will try.

Because, in a state full of haters my circumstances on made me greater. Better than the day before or the the week prior but a better me is waiting to arise tomorrow.

Cause this concrete flower figured out ways to talk and walk and show them that it all about the spunk.

When all is said and done to where would you run?

Run run babygirl, you can’t handle this life.

Cause while I grew up in a concrete jungle I still blossomed into this flower 🌹!!
