“The colors of harmony”
Dark Golden ringlets fall soft upon her shoulders
Press them through the plates to make them smoother, longer
Clear lacquer to pink lips to make them drip with beckoning
She prepares herself for the moment of reckoning
Rose gold pigments to green eyes behind long lashes
Porcelain foundation to hide the scars from former gashes
Anything to make his heartbeat quicken
As she slathers on oil to make her long, ivory legs glisten
If only he knew he takes her higher than the heavens
That her insides quiver every second of his presence
She hears the purring of his Audi and swallows the lump in her throat
He enters, quickly undresses, his dark, able body her only antidote
The only cure for the ache in her moon-bathed skin
The only adequate relief from the gnawing within
She glows with anticipation, iridescent skin now red and flushed
He unwraps her from her dress gently, as if to earn her trust
For what seems like hours, he drowns in her flavor
Every drop of sweet starfruit nectar he intends to savor
With his brown flesh and her supple, pink and ivory skin,
Passion only intensifies from being forbidden
This is the moment “harmony” can be described in color –
It’s dark skin meets light, glistening all over
It’s black pupils dilated, emerald eyes wide and irisated
As two opposites attract to become fully satiated
On his elbows, he stops to hover
His golden Jamaican flag pendant, dangling from his neck above her
She questions what could have possibly paused her lover
He can’t confess that he fears he’ll never get enough of her
He traces her lacquered, pink and puckered lips
Before wrapping his skillful hands around her wrists
Before plunging deep into her succulent and saturated center,
Before learning the greatest pleasure he’ll forever remember
Ebony and ivory, friendship stimulated ardently
Never before intertwined so fervently
More than a song, it’s Dr. King’s dream
It’s poetry in motion, it’s unity between opposite beings
It’s black and white, and it’s white hot with sensuality
It’s war made into peace, it’s the colors of harmony.
