The Climb of Merit
The Uphill Battle of UPSC Aspirants
In the quiet nooks of dawn’s first light,
Aspirants wake, their dreams in sight.
Pages flutter, a whispered breeze,
In the pursuit of those elusive keys.
Across the map, in silent rooms,
Minds alight with dates and tombs.
History's tales tightly entwined,
With current affairs not far behind.
Economics’ graphs, the curves that speak,
Of markets rising, prospects bleak.
The science of governance, laws penned neat,
A dance of democracy, never obsolete.
Each question posed, a mountain steep,
The climb of merit, promises to keep.
Pens race on, as hours wane,
Marking answers, staking claims.
For some, the paper turns to gold,
Their names in lists, proudly scrolled.
For others, a lesson hard and true,
The quest for knowledge, never through.
In the heart of this competitive spree,
Lies the essence of what one can be.
Not just a test of memory’s span,
But a measure of the mettle in every woman and man.

So many good lines, but found this nice - "Economics’ graphs, the curves that speak, Of markets rising, prospects bleak."
Happy to comment on this poem. It is so profound!
