The City of Rumors
Testing the truth of a beautiful dream.

I heard that people stare at them until their eyes are full,
so I will stay in their city for a few days to see for myself.
I heard they have a soft spot for the broken ones,
so I will ruin myself just to get their attention.
I heard their delicate eyes are looking for pain,
so I will walk through their street to show my wounds.
I heard they have a love for poetry and art,
so I will show the miracles of my own hidden talent.
They say when they speak, flowers fall from their lips,
if this is true, then let us try to talk to them.
I heard the moon watches them all night long,
and stars climb down from the sky just to catch a glimpse.
I heard the butterflies tease them during the day,
and fireflies stop to stare at them in the dark.
They say their eyes are like a wild deer’s gaze,
and the creatures of the desert are mesmerized by them.
It might just be a story, it might be an exaggeration,
but if they are a dream, I want to find the meaning of it.
Should I stay in this city or should I leave?
Let us look at the stars of travel before we decide.
Stay firm in your art.
Stay loyal to your curiosity.
The universe is not made of facts,
it is made of the stories we choose to believe.
