The Chosen

Life on Mars.

The chosen will live life on Mars.

Leaving the unchosen to wither away.

Killing for resources.

Begging not to stay

Behind to fight another day.

While the ones on Mars have escaped

To a brand new society.

A whole new world.

Where everything is possible…

Going to Mars was once

Only a Dream.

Which means as long as we

Continue to dream than

We can learn to fly to Mars.

If we’re left behind… right?

Anyways, it won’t happen now—

Not this soon.

I bet the first neighborhood on Mars

Will be up and running by 2032.

Imagine that…

Earth not being the only place

Where human life exists.

It surely will be missed.

I think you can sign up for a mission on Mars. 🥲

  • Another intriguing poem, RP! You have quickly become one of my favorite authors. :) It is hard to imagine life on the red planet. This really gets you thinking . . . and it also triggered a song into my head: "Fly me to the moon, and let me play among the stars. Let me see what spring is like on, Jupiter and Mars."

If Musk has his way, plans will be already in the making. I wanna go see for myself. Money talks though. I see the future through the poem. Lovely.
