Tears In the dark

The Candle Flickered Love Died

The candle burned low,

dripping its light,

holding the room

in a fading glow.

She watched the flame,

thin as regret,

shake its head,

as if tired of hope.

The night closed in,

pressing her heart,

drawing out truths

she tried to hide.

Love once lived,

warm as spring,

but now it lay

cold on the floor.

She touched the wick,

searching for heat,

yet found only ash,

soft as lost time.

Her tears fell slow,

quiet and real,

marking the end

she never wanted.

The flame gave out,

with a final sigh,

leaving the room

darker than before.

The candle flickered,

then love died,

and in that dark,

she learned to stand.
