The Cancer Woman
8 stanzas of the most complicated person you'd ever met
Every other girl is the perfect woman
Down to earth, submissive and hardworking
With all womanly sweetness and softness
But she's always been a different girl
Independent and bold, yet timid in her mind
She surfaces as a strong and stubborn feminine
Yet she's the most fragile at heart
Behind closed doors water wells from her eyes
She would lie the whole day sulking
And if she's asked why, it's always nothing
But inside she knows she's made up
A thousand reasons in her head to feel melancholic
On some days she's so lazy you would hate her
All she would want to do is lie on her bed daydreaming
Of almost impossible things she wants to do
And all the serene places she wants to be at
This moment she's sweet, laughing and happy
In a twinkle of minutes wrinkles appear on her face
She'll always feel she doesn't need anyone
But her heart yearns for true companionship
Her past and hurts gnaw at her all the time
Only know one sees it because it's all in her head
Only the ones who have the purest minds and hearts
Can see through to the pain behind her violent laughs
She's all forms of complicated, which she hates
She would sell her thoughts for a bucket of peace
The most twisted things go through her mind
And never stops until her head hits the pillow
But in all her complications the most beautiful thing
Is that the cancer woman would be the best thing
That could ever bring you happiness of a lifetime
But in the same happiness little bouts of wrangling pain
