Here’s to the brother that I never knew,
The one who left us all too soon,
The memories and laughs we could have made,
The fights, the tears, and all the mistakes.
I may not know you; you may not know me.
This is to the Brother that I never did see.
What’s it like, dear brother of mine?
To watch the world from in the sky.
What’s it like, up above?
Do you hear the whispered prayers of love?
One day, Big Brother, I’ll see you in Heaven.
It may be a while, but I promise you,
One day you’ll know me, and I’ll know you, too.
