The Binding Flame

Embers on a Soul

By Taylor WardPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

In twilight’s glow, when skies turA love, like rivers, winds within.

Not fleeting spark, nor fleeting grace,

But a fire that no storm can chase.

It wraps my heart, it pulls my soul,

A burning thread, a secret whole.

Wound so tight it feels within

My very bones, my every skin.

As if the stars themselves had spun

A pattern, endless, never done.

A code, unseen, in blood and bone,

Written where the heart is sown.

Each pulse, each beat, each whispered sigh,

Echoes of love that will not die.

A passion forged from ancient fire,

Bound by fate’s eternal lyre.

Like a vine that climbs without retreat,

This love, my blood, it moves and beats.

Through marrow deep and veins that swell,

It is the story I cannot quell.

A force so strong, so pure, so true,

It weaves through me, and I through you.

No time, no distance, no cruel night,

Can dim the spark of endless light.

For you are woven in my soul,

A piece that makes the shattered whole.

A dance of stars, a woven rhyme,

A love that grows, defies all time.

And in your gaze, in every touch,

I find a peace that means so much.

Not just a flame, but something more—

A love that shakes me to my core.

No wind shall break, no wave shall sway,

This passion deep, it cannot stray.

It is my marrow, my heart, my breath,

A love that conquers life and death.

And in its fire, I am reborn,

A soul that lives, no longer worn.

For you, my love, are woven tight,

In me, within, a boundless light.
