The Betrayal

In these caves, where promises are broken

Lies and emptiness, a misleading trust

The names that once was, forgotten stories

Surrounded by deceitful intentions

A fraud, their tricks overtaking

Walking an endless night, full of illusions

Your trust, luring us into seduction

Compromising all integrity and self-worth

Persuasion whispers in a mind

And the dagger, rips within the heart

With years of this bond, so united

A single treachery, the shame it brings

Insincerity of a coward, fighting for greed

The morals vanish, these wasted memories

Where loyalty leaves, and a traitor emerges

Clinging to a hope, to be forgiving

As reality passes, everything so fragile

The other side is no better, less tolerant

Treason permanently attached, forsaken deed

The remains, all promises, unchanged

Desperate measures, abandoned homes

The vacant expression, the chances are spent

Stripped with honor, desolation arrives

A meaningless betrayal, occupied by a void.
