The Banned Book Bibliophile

L7

A reader of books was he

With tales so grand, they set him free

To library halls he'd oft repair

And lose himself in tales beyond compare

But one sad day, he heard with shock

The books he loved now faced a ban and mock

Forbidding them from library shelves

Leaving him with nothing else

He felt as though a part of him was lost

For how could he read at such a cost?

But then he saw the challenge with delight

And resolved to seek out books by night

He searched in secret, with great glee

For volumes banned, in clandestine spree

And found such joy in every word

That others soon his love for books heard

And so he proved that even when banned

The tales of books will always stand

For stories told, will never be lost

And a reader's love, at any cost.
