Through the actions of one man

My wretched, wasted life redeemed

And I found the courage to start again

*

Whether through some divine plan

Or fate’s twisted schemes

Through the actions of one man

*

A figure, disheveled and wan

Walked away exalted and esteemed

And I found the courage to start again

*

A voice said, “Yes, you can!"

And hope within like sunlight gleamed

Through the actions of one man

*

Under compassionate eyes ofd bright cyan

A benevolent smile beamed

And I found the courage to start again

*

That day a new chapter began

Brighter than I could've ever dreamed

Through the actions of one man

And I found the courage to start again
