The Seven Year Itch
They say it creeps in soft and slow,
A silent crack, a hidden glow.
The days grow long, the nights feel thin,
A distant pull beneath the skin.
The laughter fades, a quiet stare,
A sigh that lingers in the air.
What once was new now feels the same,
A spark that’s dimmed, a softer flame.
But love’s not lost in every glance,
It’s not just fate or circumstance.
It’s choosing still, through thick and thin,
To start again, to let love win.
So scratch the itch, but don’t let go,
For love can heal more than you know.
Look if you must, but only with one eye.
Other wise to us, it will be the last goodbye
