An ode to getting comfortable in bed

I want to get comfortable.

Pull the sheets over my side of the bed.

Roll once, then back again, maybe this is the spot.

What if I flip over the pillow to the cool side?

Why are my thoughts so full now?

I know let’s count some sheep. One, two, three, do jellyfish care if they sting people?

Where do flies go in winter?

Wait, you’re overthinking again. You must get comfortable and clear your mind.

You won’t be at your best if you don’t rest.

Ah, I’m slipping off into sleep now.

A dream, I know it’s a dream, but that’s ok.

Whoop Whoop Whoop!

Time to get up.

Maybe try again tomorrow night.
