That young lady in the mirror,

All she did was shiver,

In a world where abuse,

Was her only treasure.

That young lady in the mirror,

Always fell for the wrong lover,

Which always made her wonder,

Was she lovable at all?

That young lady in the mirror,

Knew she was a survivor,

And with the power of knowledge,

She fought through it all.

That young lady in the mirror,

Learned not to be gullible,

To the poisonous world of minds,

That made her feel vulnerable.

That young lady in the mirror,

Learned to grow,

She sewed the seeds of a brand-new song,

And she walked into a brighter life,

Where she felt the warmth of a brighter sun,

Smiling as her new future has just begun.
