Tenebris et Lux Charm by M.K. Brackett April 13, 2024

Enraptured by your smile, I lost myself, blinded, enthralled,

Concealed behind your mask, the monster hidden, your soft voice called.

Like Dr. Jekyll you lured me into your lovers’ trap with a velvet glove

Innocent whispers of support and kindness, honeyed professions of love,

Promises of fidelity, the lies of Mr. Hyde, bought by eternity in a golden band.

Serpent tongued angel; I learned too late the price of taking your hand.

Eclipsed by your dark love, I found in your shadow, hope for the light.

This poem is a WOW! Jeckyl and Hyde, and this sentence is unique and powerful: Serpent tongued angel - loved your poem.
