Tender Obscurations

Eclipse Accrostic

Embrace the slow gains of the morning, don’t hide under wrinkled sheets after a long night of tiny nightmares and tears

Celestial bodies glow under morning ministrations, warming to the touch; but lock the door to keep the atmosphere

Let lingering fingers leave brief shadows, tender obscurations; feel them observe the slightest changes in topography

Illuminate naked desires, radiance pulsing with each quick breath taken in necessary, invigorating silence

Phase? No, I am eccentric but fixed, joyous to revolve around you long after other heavenly bodies have left to take up their own orbits and the sun grown cold

Source of enlightenment, I do not take for granted you will rise each morning, but raise up in praise at your sensual iconography

Embrace ecstatic explorations of substance and spirit. I will take all the time offered to study the light of you that has traveled to this moment and pray that I am here to catch a glimpse of your brilliance to come
