Tears of War

A Poem on the Russia-Ukraine Conflict

once-green, now reddish landscapes where hope is lost and innocence crumbles,

As the winds of battle keep on blowing, tears mix with the earth below.

Families split apart, their cries left alone,

No love was given in the maelstrom of anger.

Fear stilled the laughter of the children,

They vanish in the shadow of conflict.

As nations look on with vacant hands, oceans of anguish flood the land,

Yet still a glimmer of light in the ruins,

A cry for calm in the dead of night.

In the pursuit of harmony and enduring peace, may hearts come together and conflict end,

For hope will arise from the ashes,

And despite the clouds of grief, love shall conquer.

Let humanity remain in the story of conflict,

To heal the land's wounds from the conflict.

I want it to STOP! It is so needless but for Putin's ambition. Horrible crumbled buildings that once were thriving cities and families lost and torn and bloody.
