Teachers Under Pressure
These are hard times for teaching large classes

Teachers Under Pressure
The bell still rings though spirits fade,
Another lesson carefully laid,
Smiles are worn through weary eyes,
Holding calm while tension lies.
Pages marked and targets climb,
More is asked each passing time,
Hours stretch beyond the day,
Yet little thanks comes back their way.
Children carry worlds unseen,
Stories hidden in between,
Teachers stand and try to guide,
Though they ache and stay inside.
Meetings, reports, endless demand,
Always more placed in their hands,
Still they listen, still they care,
Giving pieces everywhere.
One child blooms from patient words,
One feels safe and finally heard,
Moments small may not seem grand,
Yet futures grow from that one hand.
Pressure builds and voices tire,
Still they carry quiet fire,
Not for glory, praise, or fame,
Each young life becomes the aim.
So when the classroom day is done,
Remember what their hearts have spun,
Behind each lesson, strong and true,
Stands someone believing in you.
