Doting double doses degraded delicate dream-worthy devotion

I became a butterfly with tattered wings when he lost his mojo

Slow and steady to now or never, all or nothing, lackluster stimuli

Touche, his preoccupation with ideal love, tainted its charming art

Romanticism distorted; magic to manic, frantic, shifting dynamic

Affections viewed through glass are ill-advised, injuring Lepidoptera

Crinkled pretty scales made me long for my days as a lonely caterpillar

Torn, a cycle I did not sign up for, set the pace of a love that faded fast

Inching away, tacking courage to tattered winds, again, my spirit soars

Once a beautiful sentiment, his intentions are now a blurry heart emoji

Nice to look at, watch her fly; a butterfly is never meant to be owned

This one is interesting, I love the imagery of him wanting love to be perfect and that being harmful (I love it not because it’s a good thing, of course, but because it’s a real thing). Can I ask, why did you make the last letter in each line bold?
