Every night before bed, “Don’t

cry for the moon!” mother would say

Her little girls face sours

like star fruit

A moon away

who would race to the window;

Like a jackrabbit

To see the night sky

Who always looked up at the stars

no lie!

With eyes as big as saucers

Filled with wonderment of galaxies

One night,

when it's morning

but still dark out,

star hour to be

precise!

Once in a blue moon,

the moon prince, would

THROW down,

the longest star ladder

Bravely

she climbed

namely

to the moon

Hanging on the moment like stars

She only dreamed of,

Riding on

the tail of a shooting star

The two danced in circles

on the moon

As they loudly shout

Happily the two moon about
