Take Me to Church

Put on your dress

I’ll put on my slacks

We’ll load up in the car

Get the kids in the back

Well head on down the road

To somewhere I said I’d never go

You know that they say that some things never change but I’m glad this ain’t something that won’t

Take me to church

Well sit in the front row

grabbing your hand and bowing my head

And soaking up everything that I’ve never known

We’ll sit and grow strong

sharing this bond

Baby together we’ll heal all this hurt

Take me to church

We can say our goodbyes

Shake hands and head back down the road

To a home full love, compassion and trust

And together in every way we’ll grow
