Rough Waters

The Boat

Out on rough waters, tossed around on a boat,

Drug down by the current, the waves started to smote

All hope was lost. I gave up. I quit.

I was filled with self doubt. I was done, this was it.

Then a feeling came over me. The tide felt more calm.

My spirit lifted with serenity, like I was a rose held in his palm.

I then find myself on fresh sand, with a lesson learned by rote.

For when all else had failed, I had started to float.
