Take Back Your Superpower

Save The Brutal For Inside

it's a brutal facade

that I mask with a smile

in the image of god

when my life is on trial

everything that I say

everything that I do

has a precise part to play

when it comes to the rules

It's a hard line to trace

when you're held to the fire

every line on your face

tells the world you're tired

makes you the target

when they get bored with the last

they'll never let you forget

those mistakes from the past

the only way that you win

the only way out of that box

is to paste on that grin

like a sly sneaky fox

let them believe it won't matter

the games that they play

become the crazy mad hatter

and then they'll go away

cause the pleasure is better

if it causes you pain

if they can steal your sweater

while you stand in the rain

but when you dance in the puddles

and laugh at the sky

it makes them befuddled

that they can't make you cry

only you can decide when enough is enough

only you can wield that kind of power

take it and smile or call out their bluff

with your own butt kicking superpower

We should all use our superpowers when needed. Who knows what would happen.

  • Pretty much my philosophy. Kill them with kindness. The best way to get even is to do nothing at all. It will drive them crazy waiting the rest of their lives for the hammer to fall.

"When you're held to the fire / every line on your face / tells the world you're tired", wow! That is one amazing description. Loved this one!
