Faded Memories

I've learned nostalgia is a drug

dragging us back, into our feels

Those moments once swept under rugs

till we've lost sense of what is real

Those quiet bruises and secret smiles

that played a part in who we are

Are magical, magnetic pulls

of soft tail lights in the dark
