The eagle is too high in the sky Yet its whole shadow is painted on the land Where he can't hear his mother's lullaby The sky is too vast, it holds a chronicle grand The sky has become a graveyard of dead birds The clouds wish to drench his soul in rain He prays for his lost ones... not in cries, but in chords He roams alone, with thunder stitched into his vein He held a dying dream in the void Silence cages his half-eaten heart Yet the dream is lovely, he stays overjoyed After soaring high, he depart He found no place to rest beneath the tree The lone bird’s afterglow shall forever haunt the sky But the sky is vast enough just for eyes to see Now just a ghost that dares to fly— Endlessly high
