surreal poetry

Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.

Awaken.
Awaken When the sun has set and the moon risen, awaken. When the city lights slice and hack through the vastness of the blackened skies, awaken.

Happy Birthday, My Love
Today's the day to celebrate, To light the candles and cut the cake, To shower you with love and cheer, And wish you a Happy Birthday, my dear. As you blow out the candles, make a wish, May it come true and bring you bliss, May your day be filled with joy and delight, And your heart be filled with love and light. You're the sunshine in my life, The reason I wake up each morning with a smile, You're my rock, my support, my everything, And I cherish every moment with you, my darling. On your special day, I want to say, How much I love you in every way, You mean the world to me, my love, And I thank the stars above. For bringing you into my life, And blessing me with a love so true and bright, Happy Birthday, my dear, May your life be filled with love, laughter, and cheer.
