A stale smell floats through the air cherry red - lights up the dark Nobody said that life was fair and here's the hardest part You feel every last betrayal, in all parts of your being everything you hear or smell, taste everything you're feeling You never need to use your eyes to see what's happening discards you for a new fix- like that cigarette he's dragging The ashy smell burns in your mind, as the vapors leave a trace what he's left behind has left a trail running down there, on your face The cigarettes he burned through, wore a danger on its label he needs one that reads, "beware" - he'll break you too, if he is able Your heart gapes like a cut, with no blood to leave it's mark he hurt you deep inside, with a bite worse than his bark Once you shake off that mistake, and get your armor put back on he'll be the one regretting when he sees that you are really gone Learn to listen to your body, it has your best at heart the senses will protect you - cause you're a priceless work of art So, when that devil comes a calling, let your senses be your guide they will warn you of the risks and keep your threats identified
