The Reaper’s Hourglass
Inverted hourglass Sand slipping through time until Reaper knocks it down Author’s Note: I’m on day six of the fifty-day song/lyric-inspired haiku (or should it be senryū?) challenge. Today’s poem is inspired by Breathe (2 AM) by Anna Nalick, which you can listen to below.

eight six seven five three-oh-nine, Jenny, Jenny I've got your number. I believe Alyson Smith is the creator who got this party started, and these are some others participating in the 50 song haiku/senryu in 50 days. I might be bending the rules a bit for myself.

I'm A Bagel
They say I'm too much I know that they're not enough I keep shining bright!!! Today's poem is inspired by Barbra Streisand's I'm the Greatest Star from the movie Funny Girl. If you don't know the movie, my title comes from a line where Fanny (played by Barbra) describes herself as "a bagel on a plate full of onion rolls" when comparing herself to more conventionally attractive women.
