THE LOVERS’ TALISMAN She wore their love close to her heart, a little talisman where their story began. He gave it to her one summer night, beneath a moon drowning in light.
THE CANDLE IN THE WINDOW The nights are drawing in again, The daylight slips away, And shadows gather quietly At ending of the day.

THE DEVIL HAS YOUR FEET Upon a cold and starry night, Where every twinkle chilled the air, A lonely soul reached for the gates, Believing peace was waiting there.
THE DEVIL’S HALF-WAY PLACE There is a place, distance unknown, Between the here and gone, Where time and everything stands still, And nothing can move on.
THE THING BEYOND THE VEIL Beyond the veil of coloured lights, Halfway between the earth and sky, A lonely figure watches life, But no one knows the reason why.
THE BIRD THAT STOLE THE WIND I saw a strange red bird today, It floated through my mind, It wore a coat of scarlet red And carried off the wind.
THE TREE AT MY WINDOW A tree came knocking at my glass, I asked it what it knew. It waved its leaves and whispered, “I’ve come to live with you.”
