The Lantern of Hope
The Lantern of Hope In a small village surrounded by sand dunes and palm trees, there lived a young man named Hassan. Hassan was kind-hearted and generous, yet he carried a heavy sadness in his heart. He believed in Allah, but his faith felt fragile, like a candle in the wind. Life had been hard for him. His father had passed away when he was a child, leaving him to care for his mother and younger sister. Every day he worked in the fields under the scorching sun, returning home exhausted, with little energy to pray or read the Qur’an.

The Day the Heart Learned to Bow For many years, Harun believed strength meant control. He controlled his time, his business, his emotions, and even his prayers. He prayed five times a day, never missed a fast in Ramadan, and gave charity when it was convenient. People respected him, and some even admired his discipline. Yet deep inside, Harun felt hollow, as if something essential was missing from his life.

Introduction I have seen lots of posts for Imbolc, which I should have expected given the friends that I have made, but this is the first year that I have been made aware of it. I took the below information from the internet and and will use it along with a painting by my friend The Glittering Fox to create a Villanelle for Imbolc.
